- One of three problems could
be occuring.
3) If you get a straight cannot connect error most likely your
ISP blocks port 25. This means you must use their SMTP server.
You can contact them for verification.
2) If you are receiving a relay error make sure your email client
is set for "SMTP server requirress authenticatication"
3) Your IP must be broadcasted on the internet.
If your ISP does not assign real IP numbers to your dialup, DSL,
or cable modem you will need to
contact support to have a special entry made for your ISP in
the sendmail host file.
